The NCHA Futurity Sales start on Monday, December 10, in Fort Worth, with the NCHA Futurity Cutters and Prospects Sale. Six continuous days of sales culminate on Saturday, December 15, the day of the NCHA Futurity Open finals.

The 2012 NCHA Futurity Sales catalog is rich with black-type, as well as full and half-siblings of 2012 NCHA Futurity Semi-Finalists. On Tuesday, December 11, for instance, Tate and Laura Bennett have consigned Jeweled Cat, Lot 2016, a 2-year-old half-brother, by High Brow Cat, to Rios Jewel, the gelding trained and shown by Tate last week to earn 222 points in the Open first go-round and to also win the Limited Open championship with 224 points.

On the same sale day, Smart Lil Jackson goes under the hammer as Lot 2024. The 2-year-old colt, consigned by his breeder and trainer, Hayden Upton, is a full brother to High Brow Jackson, reserve champion, with 222.5 points under Monty Buntin, to Rios Jewel in the Limited Open, and an Open Semi-Finalist, as well.

Waco Bend Ranch, home of Dont Look Twice, earner of over $730,000, 2011 Horse of the Year, and 2012 World Champion, offers One Time Ruby Jewel as Lot 2036 on Tuesday. The 2-year-old, in training with Phil Rapp, who trained and shows Dont Look Twice, is a full sister to Ese Tabitha, who earned a cumulative score of 433 points under Tony Piggott to qualify for the Semi-Finals on Friday, December 13.

Ese Tabitha also has a 5-year-old full sister, Lot 6081, and a 4-year-old half-sister by Autumn Acre, Lot 6070, both NCHA money earners trained by Phil Rapp, selling on Saturday, December 15.
