Western Bloodstock sale company announced today that it will conduct the Marvine Ranch Cutting Horse Reduction Sale on October 20, at Marvine Ranch, Weatherford, Tex.
“Rarely are we able to offer a ranch catalog with the depth and quality of horses as in the Marvine Reduction Sale,” said Milt Bradford of Western Bloodstock.
Since 2006, Marvine Ranch horses have won 22 championships in major limited age events, as well as four reserve championships for a total of 26.
The Marvine Ranch Reduction Sale of 29 horses of all ages, includes Quintan Blue, one of the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) all-time leading money earners with $594,637, as well as a leading producer of earners of $371,652.
“Our approach from the beginning was to develop a best-in-class breeding program with a world class collection of broodmares and to train and develop their offspring to compete successfully in top-level NCHA events,” said Marvine Ranch owner Jon Winkelried.
The sale includes three 3-year-olds paid up-to-date in the NCHA Futurity and in training with Roger Wagner, who trained and showed Quintan Blue. There are also five 2-year-olds selling, all in training with Wagner.
Four-year-old Dual N CD, most recently the sixth-placed finalist in the NCHA Derby under Wagner and the earner of $31,595, will also be included in the sale, as well as the 5-year-olds Stylish Martini, with $201,100; Shorty Boonsmal, with $48,213; and Justa Lil Blue, with $23,236.
In addition to Quintan Blue, broodmares selling include Sassy Shorty, with produce earnings of $224,395; Dual N At Noon, with produce earnings of $107,238; and Cherry Chex Dually, the earner of $230,488, whose foals are not yet of performance age.
