Kathy Daughn marked 226 on Snow Rey to lead the go-round of the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Friday. The Open and Non-Pro finals will be held Saturday evening. Each of the finals carries $25,000 in added money.
Seven horses with combined earnings of nearly $1.8 million qualified for the Open finals. Snow Rey, owned by John and Lica Pinnkston, is an 8-year-old Dual Rey gelding bred by Walton’s Rocking W Ranch, and campaigned successfully through his limited age career by Chad Bushaw. He’ll go over $250,000 in earnings with a check from tonight’s finals.
Non-Pro finalists will be determined Saturday morning.

- Reys Desire (Dual Rey x Playguns Desire) marked 223 with Lee Francois for Woody Bartlett
- Dont Look Twice (High Brow Cat x Tapt Twice) marked 222 with Phil Rapp for Louis and Corliss Baldwin
- Intention Del Rey (TR Dual Rey x Ethylena) marked 221 with Jody Galyean for Bambi Gress
- Dual R Smokin (Dual Rey x Smokin Pepto) marked 220 with Chubby Turner for Daniel Jaeggi
- Miss Smokin Garfield (Kits Little Garfield x Smokin Huntress) marked 219.5 with Lee Francois for Wendell Reeder Jr.
