Dan Hansen, an NCHA World Champion Non-Pro, marked 230 on Woody Be Lucky to win the Mercuria NCHA World Series of Cutting Non-Pro finals at the Idaho Futurity Sunday.

Hansen, marked 227 in the go-round, second highest to Janet Westfall’s 232 on Smartest Peanut Yet. He rode next to last in the finals and his 230 knocked down leader and reserve champion Mary Ann Rapp with a 224.5 on Toy Engine.
Woody Be Lucky’s $11,190 paycheck will take the Nitas Wood gelding over $470,000 in career earnings. It will extend the $22,000 lead Hansen in the 2011 NCHA World Non-Pro standings that Hansen brought into the Mercuria event in Idaho.
