Dustin Adams of Dublin, Texas marked 220 on Reyann Hickory to lead the first go-round of Non-Pro competition at the NCHA Eastern National Championships, presented by 6666 Ranch, in Jackson, Mississippi today.

Adams, an NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Famer, has been a finalist at the NCHA Western Nationals in Ogden, Utah, in the past, but this is his first time to qualify for the finals at the Eastern National Championships.

Reyann Hickory is a 9-year-old Dual Rey mare that has earned more than $300,000.

Todd Quirk on NQH Tom Cat, by High Brow Cat, had the second highest Non-Pro score of 219.  NQH Tom Cat went over the $100,000 mark earlier in the show when Austin Shepard rode him to win the $10,000 Novice finals.

Page Bowman leads $50,000 Amateur contenders

Page Bowman of Simpsonville, Kentucky, who won the Junior Youth title on Snazzy Easter Bunny on Sunday, came back on Thursday to lead the $50,000 Amateur qualifiers with a 221 on Mates Cajun Star, by Smart Mate.

Bowman, 13, is sitting in sixth place in the Junior Youth World Standings for 2011.

Andrea Sutten of Fort Worth, Texas, marked 218.5, the second high score of the $50,000 Amateur go-round. She rode Daintys Tom Cat, by High Brow Cat.

Finals of both the Non-Pro and the $50,000 Amateur will be held Saturday, as the show wraps up.
