Alisa McCleary of Michigan City, Mississippi, worked first in the second bunch and marked a 221.5 to win the $15,000 Novice Non-Pro finals today on Rey O White at the NCHA Eastern National Championships, presented by 6666 Ranch.
Travalin Ms Bunny, ridden by Leann Gann, who followed McCleary in the working order, took the reserve championship with a 221.
Rey O White marked 216 in the go-round, to tie for the sixth highest score behind Amber Czisny’s 218.5 on Peppyschino Jerry.
This was McCleary’s second Novice Non-Pro win at the NCHA Eastern National Championships. She scored a few years ago with Little Rey Dual.
Bred by Bar H Ranche, Rey O White is a 7-year-old mare by Dual Rey out of Savannah White, whose produce will pass the $600,000 mark with Rey O White’s winning paycheck. Savannah White has produced the $100,000-earners Cappuccino And Pasta, Justanotherwhiteboy and Dual Til You Drop.
