Cherry Chex Dually, a daughter of last season’s leading freshman sire, Hes A Peptospoonful, earned $50,000 for winning the finals of the 4-year-old Open at the Abilene Spectacular this afternoon. Eddie Flynn (pictured) marked 221 on the mare to top reserve champ My Little Abra. The winner is owned by Marvine Ranch which also campaigned 2007 NCHA Horse of the Year Copaspepto. LKC Ranch bred the winner.
Cherry Chex Dually is out of the Dual Pep mare Bueno Chex Dually, which earned more than $150,000 as an NCHA Derby reserve champion under Paul Hansma and is the winner of several other major aged events.
Eddie Flynn and Cherry Chex Dually marked 218 and 216 for a 434 in the go-rounds, the second highest score behind Special Nu Kitty’s 439.
