To anyone following the National Cutting Horse Association’s limited age event results, it’s no surprise that 2007 has been the Year of the Cat – again. High Brow Cat sired the winners of 61 major limited age events, and a grand total of 589 finalists. The record-breaking leading sire of money earners in 2006 will finish well clear of his rivals in terms of number of champions, number of reserves and number of finalists this year.

Here’s a look at the leading sires of National Cutting Horse Association limited age event finalists for the 2007 calendar year. These standings are based on Open, Non-Pro, Amateur, Limited, Novice and Senior classes for major events held January 1 through November 11. More than 3,800 checks were cut at these events and more than 285 sires have been represented by registered horses that finished in the money. The top sires by ranked by number of finalists are listed.
