Royals Magnificat, ridden by Clint Allen, earned $20,000 as the champion of the inaugural Arbuckle Mountain 5 and 6-Year-Old Classic, in Ardmore, OK on February 26. The 5-year-old gelded son of High Brow Cat, who scored 222.5 points for his win, is owned by Dave and Georgia Husby, Weatherford, TX, and now has earnings of more than $85,000.
Boon Too Suen was the reserve champion with 221 points under Kobie Wood. The 5-year-old Peptoboonsmal son out of three-time NCHA world champion Meradas Little Sue, is owned by Gary Rosenbach. His half-sister, Sues So Smart, was reserve champion of the recently concluded South Point Derby.
Royals Magnifcat was also champion of the 2009 West Texas Futurity Open Gelding division with Allen, while Boon Too Suen won the 2009 South Point Futurity under Wood. Georgia Husby rode his dam, CD Royalty when she was reserve champion of the 2001 NCHA Amateur Futurity.
