Lil Miss N Texas, a daughter of Yellow Roan Of Texas, marked 224 under Cameron Verstegen of Eagle Point, OR, to win the 3-year-old Open finals at the $150,000-added El Rancho Futurity in Rancho Murietta, California, on Friday, September 21. The mare, the first foal out of Little Ms N Cash, by Miss N Cash, marked 216 and 209 in the go-rounds to qualify on the bubble for the finals. It was the first major win for Verstegen, who had prior NCHA earnings of about $5,600.
