Session I of Western Bloodstock’s 2024 Preferred Breeders Sale built on the momentum of the NCHA Futurity 2-Year-Old Sales and NCHA Futurity Cutting Horse Sale, adding six more six-figure purchases to a growing tally of 60 horses that sold for $100,000 or more.

Naughty By Natuure, consigned by Billy Wolf and purchased by Nate Ahlin, Fort Worth, TX, was the Session I high seller at $355,000. The yearling red roan filly by Stevie Rey Von, sire of 493 earners of over $12 million, is out of Dual Rey daughter A Little Reylena LTE $126,058, producer of 14 money earners of over $1.7 million.

Stevies Got Swagger, a yearling Stevie Rey Von colt and half-brother to Run For a Million Open Cutting Challenge Champion Blackish LTE $394,696, among nine other money earners, was purchased by Tresha Johnson, Huntsville, TX,  for $175,000. Consigned by Jeff and Robin Braden, Stevies Got Swagger’s dam, SS Blacks Lil Kitty, is a granddaughter of NCHA Open World Champion Show Biz Sandy, producer of 11 earners of $2.8 million.

Vonn Voyage, a yearling Stevie Rey Von colt, out of the dam of NCHA World Champion and $2.5 million-dollar sire Hashtags LTE $485,293, was consigned by Jim Haworth and sold for $130,000 to Keith Ketcher, Stark City, MO.

Badd To The Boon, a double registered AQHA/APHA black yearling filly by Badboonarising, and Countrys Cool Again, a sorrel filly by Reyzin The Cash, each sold for $125,000.

Consigned by Teton Ridge and purchased by Lew Hall, Highland City, FL., Badd To The Boon is out of Metallic Cat daughter Adelle LTE $78,468, dam of eight earners of $282,787, who is out of Play Peek A Boon $209,895, dam of 10 earners of $762,215, including CR Sun Reys LTE $371,053.

Yearling filly Countrys Cool Again, consigned by Lone Oak Performance Horses and purchased by Kevin Smith, Hampstead, NC., is out of Cancan Kitty, a half-sister to NRCHA Open Futurity Champion Boonlight Dancer and the dam of 21 earners of $601,987, including NCHA Derby Non-Pro Champion Cancan Reyvolution LTE $180,583.  

Special In Mink, consigned by Slate River Ranch and purchased for $100,000 by Curtis Weeks, Cotulla, TX, is a bay roan yearling filly sired by NCHA Open Futurity Champion Metallic Rey Mink and out of Smart Aristocrat daughter Hotel Cali $19,806, the dam of three foals, including NRCHA Open Stallion Stakes Champion Von Cali $94,104.

Hotel Cali is a three-quarter sister, out of Playin N Fancy Peppy LTE $178,561, to Playin N Fancy Smart LTE $378,135, among 14 money earners of $686,379.
