Fingers In The Reins, by Dont Stopp Believin, sold for $88,000 to top Western Bloodstock’s 2024 Mid-Year Cutting Horse Digital Sale.

Western Bloodstock’s 2024 Mid-Year Cutting Horse Digital Sale, a timed-only auction from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20th, during the NCHA Summer Spectacular, realized an average of $30,236 on 35 horses sold, surpassing the 2023 average by more than $10,000.

Six of the consignments brought $50,000 or more, including the high seller at $88,000, Fingers In The Reins LTE $150,240 a 7-year-old gelding sired by Dont Stopp Believin.

Bred by Glade Knight and consigned by Phil & Mary Ann Rapp, Fingers In The Reins was purchased by E. John Delmonte, Belgrade, Montana, in training with Ryan Rapp. The gelding will be shown by Rapp in the Non-Pro at the Summer Spectacular, after which the ownership will transfer to Delmonte.

Metallic Sofie, a yearling Metallic Cat filly consigned by Ten/27 Ranch, sold for $66,000, the sale’s second-highest price, to Billy Foster, Eldorado, Arkansas. Metallic Sofie is out of the Dual Rey daughter Sofie Rey LTE $149,237, dam of earners of $913,279, including Sanctus LTE $405,384 whose Open championship wins include the 2020 NCHA Derby and the 2021 NCHA Classic Challenge.

XIT Ranch-consigned Tuff Julie commanded the sale’s third highest price, $64,000, from Robert Lee, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Sired by Woody Be Tuff, 12-year-old Tuff Julie LTE $69,642, is the dam of two money earners, including Kitt Kat LTE $29,368. She sold with a colt at her side by Kit Kat Sugar and bred to Kit Kat Sugar for 2025.

Other high sellers included Blaque Magic, a yearling Badboonarising filly consigned by Ten/27 Ranch and purchased for $56,000 by Jacob Morrow, Chattaroy, Washington; Itsonlymakebelievve, a 3-year-old Dont Stop Believin filly, consigned by Phil & Mary Ann Rapp and purchased for $51,000 by Sharon Beach, Poolville, Texas; and Areyana LTE $53,153, a 5-year-old Sigala Rey daughter consigned by Alan Chappell and purchased for $50,000 by Antonio Sigala, Weatherford, Texas.

The  2024  Mid-Year Cutting Horse Digital Sale, also held a stallion season auction to benefit victims of the 2024 Panhandle Wildfires. The benefit earned $191,750, including high selling seasons of $17,000 for Badboonaring and Stevie Rey Von, as well as $16,500 for Dual Reyish.
