Cutting horse trainer Carlos Banuelos died on August 25 at his home in Jacksboro, Texas.

Banuelos, the earner of more than $600,000, won the 2008 APHA Cutting Derby on Smart Delta and the 2001 Junior APHA World on Alazulenas Flyer. He also rode Bisca Jewelena as champion of the 2000 Abilene Spectacular Classic and as reserve champion of the 1999 Augusta Futurity.

Funeral  services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28 at St. Mary’s Church at 1186 Hwy 148, Jacksboro (940-567-2743).  Graveside services will follow at the ranch of Carlos’s brother, Ascencion Banuelos, near Jacksboro at about 10 a.m.
