Colette Lesh, Stillwater, Okla., was reserve champion of the NCHA Derby Non-Pro Ltd. with 217.5 points on Stevia, by Kit Kat Sugar, while Cash Ashlock, Abilene, Tex., riding CR Tuff Low Brow, by Woody Be Tuff, placed third with 216.5 points.
Cassie Cerny, a Senior Youth competitor and earner of $18,403, showed Rose E LTE $11,669 to place in the 2020 Non-Pro and Non-Pro Intermediate Finals of The Non-Pro Plus at Ardmore, Oklahoma. Her father, Clay Cerny, who trained Rose E, was Open Intermediate reserve champion and placed third in the Open Limited at the same show.
Colette Lesh, the NCHA earner of $12,903, purchased Stevia this past March from Chelsea and Cass Tatum, Overbrook, Kan. Cass Tatum, showed Stevia as a 2019 NCHA Futurity Semi-Finalist and Open Limited Finalist, and Chelsea Tatum also showed the mare to win the 2020 Arbuckle Mountain Non-Pro Limited. Bred by Double Dove Ranch, Forth Worth, Tex., Stevia LTE $27,215, is out of a full sister to Twice As Reycy LTE $194,141, the dam of seven NCHA earners of $964,656.
Cash Ashlock, an NCHA Junior Youth competitor and the earner of $10,712, was an NCHA Futurity Non-Pro Limited finalist riding Reys Of Hope, by Smooth As a Cat. He also placed fifth in the 2020 NCHA Junior Youth World Finals with Amafoxy Cat $50,763, by Cats Red Feather.
CR Tuff Low Brow, bred by Center Ranch, has been shown by Lindy Ashlock, Cash’s mother, to earn $21,922 this year, including as Non-Pro reserve champion of the The Non-Pro Plus, and to place third in the Abilene Spectacular.
