Moms Stylish Player, ridden by Hall of Famer Kenny Platt, marked another 230 to win the third round of the 7 Ranch 2019 NCHA Open World Finals on December 5 in Fort Worth’s Watt Arena.
Kattalyst, ridden by Adan Banuelos was second with 225, while Fortune Bend, ridden by Monty Buntin and Copperish, ridden by Lloyd Cox, both marked 223 for third.
After marking 227 and 230 in the first two rounds, Moms Stylish Player is leading the cumulative score by 23 points over Copperish with 687.
Moms Stylish Player is owned by Robert Tregemba of Lawrence, Kansas. The 7-year-old gelding was bred by Drummond Land & Cattle Co. by Lizzys Gotta Player out of $1.3 million producer Moms Stylish Babe. An earner of more than $380,000, Moms Stylish Player won the NCHA Derby, Super Stakes, Breeders Invitational Classic and Bonanza Classic during his aged event career.
He came into the World Finals ranked ninth for the year, but with his World Finals successes, he’s moved up to second place in the standings.
