Lindy Ashlock, Abilene, Tex., scored 220 points on Friday to win the second go-round of the NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes Non-Pro division. Showing Desiresomeroyalty, by One Time Royalty, she also tied with 436.5 points, the highest cumulative score going into Saturday’s Non-Pro Semi-Finals, where 48 entries, with 427 points or more, will contend for the chance to compete in the Finals, on Sunday, April 14.

Constance Jaeggi, riding Super Trouper, by Dual Smart Rey, and a high-scoring rider with 219 points in the first go-round, tied Ashlock for the high cumulative score, following a 217.5-point performance in the second round. Both women are NCHA Non-Pro Hall of Fame members and NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year riders.

Jaeggi, who has NCHA earnings of $660,046, rode Saguaro Ichi LTE $293,796, by Cat Ichi, as NCHA Non-Pro World Champion and to claim the 2014 NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year title. She also won the 2011 NCHA Super Stakes Non-Pro Classic riding Dual R Smokin, by Dual Rey.

Lindy Ashlock, the NCHA earner of $1,639,488, showed In Reyverse LTE $106,549, by Dual Rey, to be named 2017 NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year. Ashlock and In Reyverse also claimed the 2017 NCHA Super Stakes Non-Pro championship.

Saturday, April 13, marks another Super Saturday during the NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes. It begins with the hotly contested Non-Pro Semi-Finals, and is followed by the Super Stakes Classic Non-Pro Finals and the Super Stakes Limited Non-Pro Finals.
