Strong bidding and 88% completed sales defined Western Bloodstock’s Preferred Breeders Sale, Day Session I. Foxies Hibrow Cat, a yearling colt sired by High Brow Cat and consigned by his breeders, Glenn and Debbie Drake, was the high seller at $100,000, and one of 12 horses to sell for $100,000 from Monday morning through Wednesday afternoon. The Wednesday Evening Session is expected to add to the growing list of high sellers.
Purchased by Jackpot Ranch, Whitt, Tex., Foxies Hibrow Cat is out of Stylish And Foxie LTE $329,502, dam of nine NCHA earners of $762,774, including Peptos Stylish Miss LTE $302,911/PE $327,218; Miss Stylish Pepto LTE $224,930/PE $249,576; and Eyez On Me LTE $136,938.
Yearling mare Lucky Lil Supercat, consigned by Pro Fit Equine, Agent for breeder Paul Dean, sold for $78,000 to Kevin Knight, Scottsdale, Ariz. The Dual Rey daughter is out of Highbrow Supercat LTE $366,230, the 2005 NCHA Futurity Open champion and an all-time leading producer of earners of $1,344,386.
Bet Shes Believin, a yearling filly consigned by Oxbow Ranch, also brought $78,000. The Don’t Stop Believin daughter, purchased by Bobby Gale, Conway, S.C., is out of Bet Shes Smooth LTE $124,272, the 2015 NCHA Futurity Open reserve champion and half-sister to Bet Hesa Cat LTE $267,465; Stylish Bet LTE $218,087; Bets CD LTE $117,429; and Bet On Me LTE $101,832. Bets Shes Smooth’s dam, Bet Yer Blue Boons LTE $332,960, NCHA Open World Champion and an all-time leading producer of earners of $1,195,437.
