Western Bloodstock Ltd. has announced the unprecedented sale of two all-time leading money earners, who are also contemporary sires of top money earners. Spots Hot LTE $529,435 and Third Cutting LTE $545,146 will be offered for sale in December during the 2016 NCHA Futurity Sales, at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Spots Hot, the 2004 NCHA Futurity Open Champion, is the sire of earners of $3.2 million, including Hottish LTE $301,843; Tattoos On This Town LTE $197,188; and Some Like It Hott LTE $183,383. From his six crops to perform, Spots Hot has sired 143 money earners with average earnings of $22,925. Third Cutting, the 2009 NCHA Super Stakes and NCHA Derby Open Champion, is the sire of 64 NCHA money earners of $918,418, including current 4-year-old This Isa Third LTE $97,340 and 5-year-old Cisco Kid $89,095.

Spots Hot, consigned by Sunrise Ranch, and Third Cutting, consigned by Carl Smith, will be sold during the NCHA Futurity Preferred Breeders Sale Sessions held on December 7, 8 and 9. The NCHA Futurity Sales kick off on Monday, December 5 with the NCHA Futurity 2-Year-Old Sale – Session I, followed by the NCHA Futurity 2-Year-Old Sale – Session II on Tuesday, December 6.
Stylin Cat LTE $112,850, another sire of NCHA money earners, will also sell during the Preferred Breeders Sale Sessions. Consigned by John McClaren, the 13-year-old son of High Brow Cat is sire of 15 NCHA earners of $275,073, for an average of $18,338 per money earner.
The Select Yearling Sale & Gala will be held on Tuesday evening with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the Select Yearling Sale at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7 will begin with the Select Cow Dog Sale and Demonstration, followed by a Hard Eight BBQ Â lunch and Session I of the Preferred Breeders Sale.
Thursday and Friday, December 8 and 9 will begin with complimentary breakfasts preceding Sessions II and III of the Preferred Breeders Sale.
The NCHA Futurity Sales will conclude with the NCHA Futurity Cutting Horse Sale on December 10.
