Danielle Bernard of Clarinda, Iowa marked 217 on Swing In Time Sunday for a 4-point win in the 6666 Ranch NCHA Eastern National Championships $2,000 Limited Rider finals.
Rhein Standish got the reserve championship with a 213 on Divas On Time.
Bernard, who started the year with NCHA earnings of $270, picked up $4,895 for her win at the Eastern Nationals in Jackson, Mississippi. She rode Swing In Time, owned by Alexis Stephas of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Swing In Time is a 13-year-0ld gelding bred by Eddie and Barbara Young by A Chic In Time out of Squeaky Swing, a Pacific Coast Derby Amateur finalist with Eddie Young.
Swing In Time has earned more than $150,000. He took Alexis Stephas to the $50,000 Amateur reserve championship at the Eastern Nationals in 2011, and was her mount at the Mercuria NCHA Non-Pro World Finals in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Rhein Standish of Baton Rouge took his reserve title on Divas On Time, an 8-year-old mare by One Time Pepto out of Desires Cat. Divas On Time was the Open reserve champion with Brett Davis earlier in the show.
