Josh Dozier and Big Bow Pepto marked 220.5 to win the Open finals at the 6666 Ranch NCHA Eastern National Championships in Jackson, Mississippi Thursday. Matthew Williams took the reserve title on Stacy Todd’s Lil Peppy Paradigm, by Smart Lil Paradign.
Big Bow Pepto was bred by Alexa Stent and is owned by Ricky Brown of Warrenton, Virginia. The 8-year-old son of Peptoboonsmal is out of Bowmans Little Jewel, whose offspring have earned more than $740,000, including four $100,000 earners: Stylish Little Bow ($231,000), Bowmans Cat ($150,000), Zacks Little Bowman ($119,000) and Little Bow Peepto ($112,000).
Big Bow Pepto is an aged event winner that was a $3,000 Novice finalist with Dozier at both this year’s and last year’s Eastern Nationals. Dozier also showed him in the $3,000 Novice at the 2013 Mercuria NCHA World Finals.
His career earnings should go over $78,000 with his paychecks from Jackson.
