NCHA Hall of Fame Rider Tracy Barton marked 225 on NRR Cat King Cole to win the Open finals at the NCHA Western National Championships, presented by 6666 Ranch in Reno, Nevada, Thursday.

Barton rode first to the herd on the 6-year-old, bred and owned by North Ridge Ranch of Pierre, South Dakota.

NRR Cat King Cole is by High Brow Cat out of  Uno Del Rey, a Smart Little Uno mare that has produced earners of more than $240,000. Barton won the Western States Fall Classic on the horse last year, and NRR Cat King Cole has earned more than $64,000.

Barton and NRR Cat King Cole had a profitable show; they also placed third in the $3,000 Novice, and made the finals of the $10,000 Novice.
