Seventeen-year-old Jamie Feldman of Ocala, Florida and Tracks In The Nile marked 223 Monday to win the $35,000 Non-Pro finals at the NCHA Eastern National Championships, presented by 6666 Ranch in Jackson, Mississippi.
Jaycee Lowery and Justa Cool Cat finished second with a 219.
Feldman qualified on the bubble to make the 30-horse finals, and she worked next to last in the first set of the finals.
Tracks In The Nile is a 10-year-old mare bred by EE Ranches by DJ Tracker who was a winner himself at the NCHA Eastern National Championships back in 2000.
Last year, Feldman was a finalist in both the $35,000 Non-Pro and the Senior Youth at Jackson, as well as the Grace Ranch NCHA World Finals at the NCHA Summer Spectacular. She was reserve champion in the $2,000 Limited Rider class at the Eastern Nationals two years ago.
Jaycee Lowery of Olive Branch, Mississippi, who finished in the Top 10 in the World $2,000 Limited Rider standings in 2012, took the $35,000 Non-Pro reserve title at the Eastern Nationals on Justa Cool Cat, a 10-year-old High Brow Cat gelding that is closing in on $100,000 in lifetime earnings.
